Review – Konad Fondation Brush

Hey Guys,

Today we will review this foundation brush from Konad. This was my first purchase in the flat foundation brush department. I remember searching and searching through amazon for that one foundation brush which is good yet inexpensive and I landed up on the brand Konad. Its been year and a half since I am into makeup and now I have switched to my holy grail, all in one Beauty blender so I do not use anything else for my foundation. Coming back to Konad, reading good reviews about this product, I purchased this brush in January 2015.  So let’s see what my experience is with the brush and whether I recommend this to you ladies or not.

Product Claims – “Liquid or Cream Foundation, sweep brush across surface of compact and apply to face, and creates a polished look with natural. Also can be used with Makeup Base and BB Cream.”

My Thoughts – A year and a half back, I was so naive when it came to makeup that I had absolutely no idea what to look for when you buy makeup tools. So that explains me buying this brush. This brush comes in a plastic case which comes in quite handy during travel. It helps in keeping the bristles in shape as well. It has an oval shape front which fits nicely into the difficult areas of face like sides of nose or under eyes etc. Talking about bristles, they are 100% synthetic. Although it looks like they are dual fiber, but they does not give that airbrushed finish at all. This bristles are very thick and they leave streaky finish on the face. I have tried using this with liquid, cream & mouse foundation and it does not blend as expected. It does not make your makeup sink in to the skin and leaves a bad streaky finish. This brush soaks up a lot of product. Coming to cleaning this brush, it is kind of difficult to clean it as the bristles are hard and does not flex around much for the cleanser to go in depth. Cleaning takes a good 3 rounds of washing and rinsing. Drying is bit tricky. I checked the brush after 24 hours it was still damp. It takes a day and half to dry completely.

I do not recommend this one. There are better brushes available in market in the same price range. Disappointed 😦

Priced at INR 550
