So in my last review I reviewed the L’Oreal Professionnel Hair Spa Detoxifying Shampoo. The reason I bought it, was because of my flaky and oily scalp. I did not repurchase it as it made my hair really really dry. So I went to the salon and complained about it to the salon lady who sold this to me. Having listened to my issues she suggested me that if I have dry hair, then I should go for the deep nourishing version of this range. And so I bought the L’Oreal Professionnel Hair Spa Deep Nourishing Shampoo.
Name of the product – L’Oreal Professionnel Hair Spa Deep Nourishing Shampoo
Product Claims – Enriched with water lily and purified water, L’Oreal Professionnel Hair Spa Nourishing Shampoo intensely hydrated your hair. It gently cleanses and infuses the hair fibre with nutrients and moisture. Your hair feels re-hydrated, soft and shiny.
- Enriched with Water Lily and Purified Water
- Intensely nourishes hair
- Leaves hair hydrated, soft and shiny
My thoughts – The packaging of all L’Oreal professionnel shampoos come in a minty cylindrical plastic bottle with a silver flip top cap in the 200 ml size range. The plastic is sturdy and is of good quality. The cap is leak proof making it travel friendly. The nozzle dispenses right amount of product without wasting.
The shampoo has a milky white colour and has a runny consistency as shown in the picture. It has a very fresh pleasant smell that stays long on my hair and keeps hair odour free.
This shampoo lathers well and cleanses the scalp and hair nicely. I oiled my hair the previous night and used this shampoo the other morning for the first time. I did not use any conditioner or serum after shampooing to see how this shampoo behaves when used alone. Aah… I am not happy. My hair stuck together making it almost impossible to comb even with the widest toothed comb. I expected my hair to become smooth and I imagined that my fingers will run through my hair so swiftly….. NO didn’t happen…..My hair felt greasy and dull. It did not nourish my hair even a little bit let alone deep nourishing. This shampoo is a total disappointment. I gave this one another chance by not oiling my hair previous night, using a conditioner after shampooing followed by hair serum. Nothing seems to work along with this shampoo. I don’t think this shampoo will work for oily or dry hair. 😦
I really want to give this shampoo another try by using along with the conditioner from the same range.
