Last night’s was a club party with friends. Its officially summer and so I do not like to go heavy with the makeup. I opt for a more natural and soft look every time I decide to step out. I created this look using minimal products. I know the name is really really long but I don’t know what to call this look other than Natural Soft Smokey Eyes & Nude Glossy Lips Makeup for Summer Party/Night out.
Below is the breakup of the look. I hope you like it.
I started with prepping my skin by applying a good light weight moisturizer from Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief 15ml/0.5oz
I then primed my skin using the Nivea for Men Sensitive After Shave Lotion – 100 ml. I let it sit for about 5 mins for my skin to soak in the product. Moving straight to foundation, I used the MAC Mineralize foundation in the shade NC37 using a damp Beauty Blender. To makeup my foundation last longer in these summery sweaty months, I have added this extra step. I use the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray all over my face and then bounce my Beauty Blender all over my face.
Next I move on to eyes. This time I am using the Urban Decay Naked Palette 2. Grabbing the shade BUSTED, I applied it all over my eyelid using a flat eye shadow brush. Next I picked up the shade TEASE and applied in the crease of my eye as a transition shade. I used a fluffy clean blending brush and blended the harsh lines between my eyelid and crease. I felt blending made the eyelid shade little lighter so I again applied the shade BUSTED to darken the lids. This will not make your eyes look flat.
Moving on to eyebrows, I grabbed my No.7 eye pencil and smoothed out the edges and give a sharp arch to my eyebrows.
If there is any fallout of eye shadows, you can wipe it off using any clean fluffy brush. This is the reason I use the concealer after doing the eyes. I used the MAC Select MoistureCover in the shade NW35. This is a slightly orange shade for my skin tone but I used this shade to correct my dark circles rather than concealing it. Blend it out using the sharp edges of Beauty Blender. Now to highlight the under eyes I used the Maybelline New York Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Treatment Concealer, Neutralizer and blended it out using Beauty Blender. It’s time to lock that concealer in place so that it doesn’t crease. I used the MAC mineralize skin finish powder in the shade Medium Golden and applied it under my eyes using a Real Techniques Setting Brush. This brush perfectly fits the under eye area.
Now we need to complete the eyes, so I lined my upper and lower waterline using the Attitude Kajal Eyeliner Pencil. I then picked up the same shade BUSTED on a pointed brush and ran along the area below my waterline. I stretched the eye shadow using the same brush and created like a fake soft wing as I did not wanted to do the eyeliner in this look. SHOCKING !! I know 😀 this gave some sort of definition to the eyes.
Time to complete the face. Using the Milani Romantic Rose Blush , I gave some flush of color to my cheeks. Using the L’Oreal Paris Glam Bronze Duo 102 Harmonie Brunes, 9g, I slightly contoured my cheeks to give that 3D effect. Coming to my favorite part of makeup – Highlighting 😀 😀 I used the Benefit Cosmetics Watt’S Up! Since this is a cream highlight, I like to seal the creams in place using the same shade of powders. In this case since I do not have any Champagne shade highlighter, I used the shade VERVE and BOOTYCALL from Urban Decay Naked Palette 2 and applied it using the same setting brush from real teachniques.
To make lips look a little fuller, I lined the corner and centre border of my lips using the NYX MAHAGONY lip liner. I then applied my most favorite nude lipstick in the world – MAC Velvet Teddy all over my lips. Since this is a party / evening / night look, I wanted to gloss up my lips. For this I used a clear gloss from L’OREAL Colour Riche LeGloss Lip Gloss 150 Naturally Nude and dabbed on the center part of my lips.
Using real Techniques Powder Brush, I dusted MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Powder all over my face to lock all the cream products in place. Use any setting spray to set your makeup so that it doesn’t look or feel cakey. I used the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray
